Description
My Inspiration
This was my attempt at capturing the beauty and magnificence of the Western Wall / Kotel / Koisel and Old City. The vivid and elaborate array of colours will cover your living space with the light and wonder of Jerusalem. Amongst that beauty though, the red arches remind us of the blood spilt at this location. That the Jewish Temple has not yet been rebuilt.
I painted the Jerusalem Skyline using palette knife, oils, acrylic and ink on canvas, having been inspired by the view of the Western Wall from the Aish Hatorah Centre Balcony
The Jerusalem Skyline is available both with and without the Quote to the right of the painting. The Pasuk (Quote) is the famous “Im Eshkachech” (translated as ‘If I forget you Jerusalem, let my right hand forget her cunning) reminding us that life won’t be perfect until Moshiach (Messianic days).
