I painted the Menorah lights because firstly it is an object part of our tradition that continues regardless of the year, regardless of the century. No other religion or ethnicity can claim the Menorah to be theirs instead. Secondly because to me the Menorah is a symbol of defiance when the Jewish People are being threatened.
