Maybe it’s just me that doesn’t know this, and I couldn’t find anything about it on the internet so I am sharing here.
I wanted to create an Amazon storefront to showcase my favourite products and the tools I use to create my bespoke art pieces.
There are two separate accounts to consider; An Amazon Influencer Account or an Amazon Associates Account.
I do not consider myself an influencer in the slightest and therefore I created a Associate account. I then spent several hours trying to create an Amazon storefront to showcase my favourite painting tools.
This is what an Amazon Associate Account looks like on the Amazon webpage.
I think it is aimed at people who want to create a cheap and easy website and then have their products sold through and distributed by Amazon. Dropshipping at its finest.

Alas, no success for me; I just want a storefront to share with people!
I have finally figured out that I need an Amazon Influencer account to create a onestop page for my community to be able to buy the same tools that I utilise in my studio.

We are finally successful!
- Sign up using new Amazon account or sign into existing account
- Prove to Amazon how famous you are – a Youtube or Instagram or Facebook link is required
- Amazon checks the account – note that Instagram accounts must be set to Public and be a Business or Creator account
- You’re done!
I am transitioning over my brand name from Sharon Schurder Art to Sharon Rose Art at the moment but they won’t let me change my shop handle yet because it’s autogenerated based on the Instagram handle – something to take into account when thinking about the name of your shop.

I hope this was helpful and if you do create your own storefront, it would be great to hear your tips and tricks in the comments!
